FEBCO Pressure Vacuum Breaker

The FEBCO Series 765 Pressure Vacuum Breaker (PVB) is used to protect against back siphonage conditions in lawn sprinkler systems. It features a durable bronze body with bonnet and poppet, check valve and air opening port in one assembly.
Since the bronze body is the most expensive part of the PVB, the internal parts (bonnet, poppet and check valve) are made of plastic and are easy for the homeowner to replace. They are designed to break if water is left in the PVB, such as a hard freeze before the system is drained for the winter. No special tools are required to replace the internal parts.

Prepare your sprinkler system for winter!

Backflow prevention assemblies must be drained for the winter in areas where freezing temperatures may occur. If water inside the assembly should freeze, damage to the assembly and the system may occur.

FEBCO 1" to 1 1/4" Repair Kits

The bonnet and/or poppet is designed to break if freezing conditions exist and water is still in the PVB. This protects the more expensive bronze body from cracking, saving you time and money. The parts are easy to replace and instructions are provided in the kit. The bonnet and poppet repair kit (seen to the left) includes a bonnet, O-ring, canopy nut and poppet. If only the bonnet or poppet is damaged, we have individual repair kits for those items.
