This assembly is designed to break if freezing conditions exist and there is still water in the PVB, protecting the more expensive brass body from cracking, saving time and money. The parts are easy to replace and instructions written for the do-it-yourself homeowner are provided in the kit, which includes:

poppet with washer

O-ring (to seal the bonnet to the body)

canopy nut

grease packet (used to lubricate the "O" ring).
If only the bonnet or poppet is damaged, we have individual repair kits for those items.
